We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented Genomics Field Application Specialist to support our Genomics business in Iberia.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting both the Human Diagnostics (HDx) and Molecular Biology Research (MBR) sales organization to reach quota in their assigned territories.
* Implement pre-sales related initiatives and activities with focus on revenue generating potential.
* Deliver technical demonstrations, trainings, and services to Agilent’s prospective and existing customers on our Genomics products.
* Act as a scientific consultant to Agilent’s HDx and MBR customers.
* Maintain scientific knowledge state of the art on existing and new Genomics products/solutions as encountered in the field and actively share with colleagues in other parts of the Agilent organization (sales, marketing, R&D).
* Be an integral part in New Product Introductions, by beta-testing new products/solution with customers and provide feedback so as to make the official launch most effective and successful.
* Represent Agilent on relevant scientific congresses and seminars as well as facilitate User Group Meetings for Agilent's HDx and MBR customers.
Qualifications
* A PhD graduate employing the fields of Molecular Biology as well as Bio-informatics.
* Extensive laboratory experience with hybridization based NGS solutions (sample/library QC, Library preparation workflows, and sequencer set-up).
* Strong/proven background in Bio-informatics and big data analysis (both secondary as well as tertiary (interpretation)).
* Proven experience in Human Genetics and clinical patient data interpretation is a plus.
* Experience with spatial/single-cell transcriptomics or CRISPR technology is a plus.
* Fluent in Spanish and English is mandatory.
* Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and training skills.
* A passion for sharing their scientific knowledge with customers and colleagues.
* Flexibility to travel 50% (or more) of the time within Iberia.
