Role Overview
Senior Business Development Manager – sales focus within the IoT sector. Build strong relationships with new prospects, onboard accounts, and achieve quarterly revenue targets. Coordinate hand‑over to the Account Development team upon successful onboarding. Operate with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate with the Learning & Development team to grow sales expertise.
Responsibilities
* Identify key players in focus markets and evaluate their requirements.
* Create new appointments through a multi‑touch sales strategy.
* Attend customer appointments to establish rewarding relationships.
* Consult prospective customers to solve business problems and deliver professional proposals.
* Build, maintain, and manage a high‑performing blended sales pipeline.
* Collaborate with Marketing to host events, webinars, or other prospect‑generation activities.
* Consistently achieve quarterly goals and objectives.
* Communicate effectively between departments to meet customer requirements and manage expectations.
* Demonstrate a continuous desire to improve understanding of the business.
Qualifications
* Minimum 7 years of business development experience using a consultative sales process.
* Minimum 7 years of demonstrable experience in solutions‑based selling.
* Experience in IoT connectivity sales.
* Successful track record within a similar or adjacent industry.
* Strong rapport‑building ability across a wide range of people.
* Confidence in discussing complex topics with high‑level decision makers.
* Excellent objection‑handling, negotiation, and closing skills.
* Excellent written, face‑to‑face, and phone communication skills.
* Ability to influence decision makers.
* Team‑orientated and collaborative work style.
* Efficient time management.
* Clear communication and resilience.
