Description
The Purchasing Manager ESO ROW drives the sourcing strategy and the cost reduction performance.
This position will help in the definition of the objectives and supports the implementation of the roadmaps (activities, processes, and organization) to reduce the cost year-after-year, to support Galderma’s activity profitable growth and to secure the supply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Organization
Have an understanding of internal customers activity and constraints that could be impacted by suppliers performance.
Manage the day-to-day and clerical activity related to his/her categories.
Work closely with the Global Category Manager and supports him/her to build with his/her guidance the sourcing strategy and to implement it.
Understand the projects the New Products and Innovation Team are working on and integrate them into his/her strategy.
2. Cost improvement
Leading the negotiations with suppliers.
Maintain and track spends for the covered categories.
Build and propose a budget/savings target which supports Galderma’s financial objectives, analyze the purchase price variances and provide his/her management with an accurate forecast.
Have a three years visibility and Cost Improvement programs and find initiatives by:
Promoting and supporting the implementation of a multi-sourcing approach, based on risk assessment and market analysis.
Organizing tenders for every category on a regular basis.
Making value-chain and cost breakdown analysis.
Understand the feedstock and cost drivers of his/her categories and anticipate markets trends.
3. Sourcing and Vendor management
Set-up and maintain the supply agreement for the CDMO part of his/her SRT.
Participate actively to the categories sourcing strategy definition and implement it for his/her category/portfolio, in line with the Global Category Manager’s one.
Implement the sourcing strategy process on his/her portfolio and all best practices in accordance with group recommendations.
Be the escalation path within the SRT.
Support new products (NPI, LCM) or projects launches.
Deploy the ESG roadmap activities.
Skills & Qualifications
4. Procurement skills (negotiation, supplier assessment, sourcing strategy…)
5. Fundamentals in Quality and Supply Chain
6. Behavioral competences: stakeholders management, communication skills, customer service oriented.
7. Strong negotiation skills.
8. Background in big budget management.
9. Experience dealing directly with quality, finance and supply chain in the industry.
