Job Title
HPC Field Support Engineer (Eviden)
Location
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Candidate must be located within a short commute of the customer Data Centre in Barcelona and will be expected to work onsite everyday.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Installing, configuring and supporting some of the most important HPC systems for our customers.
* Supporting one of Eviden’s most important HPC customers in their use of Eviden HPC solution.
* Gaining exposure to the entire HPC lifecycle, implementing latest technologies and supporting them through their life-cycle.
* Responsible for hardware parts replacement and Level 1 system software support.
* Representing Eviden within the customer account and acting as interface between the customer and Eviden’s backline support organization.
Essential Skills
* Hands on experience of building or maintaining computer equipment.
* Knowledge and experience of using Linux.
* Shell scripting.
* Understanding of networking and network security.
* Technical aptitude and interest in computing engineering.
* Inquisitive mindset and a fast learner, motivated to progress.
* Out-of-the-box thinking to solve problems innovatively.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
* Confident communicating with technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Able to win trust and build relationships.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
