Join our dynamic Main Components & WTG Replacements team within the Onshore Wind Power division for South Europe & Africa! In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring business continuity by maintaining high health and safety standards while executing complex, large‑scale repairs and replacements of wind turbine components. You will lead the hands‑on execution of major component exchanges, conduct advanced technical diagnostics to resolve intricate faults, and uphold strict safety, quality, and documentation standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safe and efficient resolution of major technical issues on wind turbine generators, making a significant impact in the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
Execute the end‑to‑end replacement of major wind turbine components, including gearboxes, generators, transformers, and blades.
Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs on‑site, utilizing specialized tooling and heavy‑lifting equipment.
Conduct post‑replacement testing and commissioning to ensure systems are fully operational and meet performance specifications.
Provide technical assistance and on‑the‑job training to lower‑level technicians during complex service operations.
Interpret technical documentation, including engineering drawings and electrical schematics, to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
Qualifications
Vocational or technical degree in Mechanics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
Extensive work experience (5+ years) as a Wind Technician, with demonstrated expertise in major component replacement.
Advanced English proficiency (B1 level) and the ability to work with limited supervision as expected of a Senior Para‑Professional.
Strong background in health and safety practices, with at least 2 years of experience in large corrective actions.
Availability to travel, with approximately 75% of your work based in Spain and the potential for international assignments.
