Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant (Auxiliar de enfermeria-TCAE) to join the Sierra Recovery team on a full time basis. As a Health Care Assistant you will work closely with nurses, therapists, and support workers to provide high-quality care and support to patients dealing with substance use disorders. Your role will be vital in helping clients maintain their health, dignity, and independence while they engage in treatment. As a Health Care Assistant you will be supported by a nurse on duty.

Night Shift: 22:00 - 08:00am
Weekend availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily personal care needs (e.g., hygiene, dressing, and mobility).
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to clinical staff.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients in recovery.
- Support clients with daily routines and structured programme activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Help manage and de-escalate challenging behavior in a calm and professional manner.
- Support the nursing team with medication administration (if trained).
- Promote a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
Essential Requirements:
- FPGS Técnico en Cuidados Auxiliares de Enfermería (ant. Técnico Auxiliar Clínica, Técnico Auxiliar Psiquiatría ó Técnico Auxiliar de Enfermería) Or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience in a care setting, ideally with individuals experiencing addiction or mental health issues (desirable but not essential).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond compassionately to complex needs.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- Proficiency in English
