Job Description:
An opportunity for an Engineering Controlling Team has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the financial controller area.
Responsibilities
Main tasks related to Chief Engineering (programme) controlling:
* Support EAC25.2 submission to programs, ensuring consistency with previous exercises and workload processes. Manage targets set by programs through convergence processes.
* Cascade targets at appropriate levels (Org Area, Personnel hours / Subco. / Material) to steer the business.
* Ensure actual costs adhere to targets during execution; provide transparent reporting per programme level.
* Deliver high-quality, timely financial reports that provide meaningful status updates, visibility on deltas, and ensure harmonization.
* Analyze data on performance against budgets, highlighting discrepancies, risks, and opportunities; identify deviations early and suggest recovery measures.
* Support the offer process by contributing to engineering quotations.
* Enhance the use of financial tools (e.g., CMA, SimpliFi, SAP) for efficient controlling.
Main tasks around cost center controlling:
* Define budgets for engineering cost centers.
* Set up hourly rates based on planned headcount and workload; analyze influencing factors.
* Perform local monthly closing tasks such as accruals, validation, and transfers.
* Generate reports on cost centers, projects, headcount, and productivity.
* Support consolidation, forecasting, and planning improvements.
* Monitor ongoing CapEx requests and asset construction.
Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, or equivalent.
* Experience in Function or Project / Program Controlling.
* Financial acumen with strong business partnering skills.
* Experience in engineering environment is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, especially Excel and Sheets.
* Interest in IT and automation; knowledge of reporting tools is advantageous.
* Languages: Spanish (mandatory), English (advanced).
* Proactive, dynamic, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
