We're supporting a leading contractor involved in the early phases of a landmark Data center megaproject, and they are now looking to appoint a Freelance Junior Project Manager to lead project delivery activities across the full lifecycle. brThis is a high‐impact leadership position where you will drive progress, manage interfaces, and ensure successful execution on one of Europe's most ambitious industrial developments. brLocation: Zaragoza brRate: Negotiable brRequirement: EU passport brContract: 12 months (strong possibility of extension) brRole Overview brReporting functionally to the Head of PMO and operationally to the Area Director, the Project Manager will oversee day‐to‐day project execution, ensuring alignment between engineering, construction, suppliers, and the client organisation. You will act as a key point of coordination, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and to the required quality. brFluency in Spanish and English is essential, as you will interface with local teams in Spain and international partners across Europe. Key Responsibilities brLead and coordinate project delivery across engineering, procurement, and construction workstreams. brDevelop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and progress reporting. brEnsure clear communication between Spanish‐based teams, international contractors, and client stakeholders. brOversee project scope, change management, and interface resolution. brEnsure project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are achieved. brIdentify risks and issues early, implementing mitigation and corrective actions. brPrepare and deliver regular project updates for senior leadership and executive stakeholders. brPromote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. brSupport the development and implementation of project systems, processes, and documentation standards. Experience Skill Requirements brExtensive experience managing large‐scale capital or industrial projects. brStrong background working with both owners and contractors; an owner‐mindset is essential. brProven ability to manage complex engineering and construction activities in fast‐paced environments. brDemonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving accountability. brStrong leadership with the ability to be hands‐on when required. brSkilled at navigating ambiguity and coordinating across multiple stakeholders. brExcellent organisational, communication, and strategic planning capabilities. brExperience with planning tools (Primavera P6 highly valued). brCompetence in progress tracking, risk management, and interface coordination.
