As a Business Controller, you will monitor financial condition and cash flow, ensure financial balance, record and report revenue & costs transactions, analyze financial data and budgets, minimize risk, and ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of financial admin processes in accordance with regulations and Group guidelines.
How You Will Contribute
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management.
Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, providing explanations for variances.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate and timely forecasting.
Conduct profitability and cost analysis to support business initiatives.
Evaluate the financial impact of potential projects and investments.
Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to improve business performance.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
Automate and streamline financial processes where possible.
Work closely with other departments (e.G., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to gather relevant data and insights.
Support cross-functional projects with financial analysis and business case development.
Act as a liaison between the finance department and other business units.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
Assist in internal and external audits as required.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as Business Controller, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in English;
Portuguese, Spanish, and French are a plus.
Flexibility to travel 20-30% of the time.
