BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Brand Manager will be a key participant in all aspects of the CND brand management, leading programs and initiatives independently. Projects include brand strategy and positioning, marketing plan development and execution, agency management, media campaign execution, and product diffusion. This role also involves significant analysis of sales and industry data, as well as budgeting and tracking.
MAJOR DUTIES:
COMMUNICATION
* Executing annual marketing plans across all platforms (multi-media, marketing/sales materials, digital, trade shows, education, and promotions)
* Collaborating with Sales and Manager to recommend and implement effective promotional programs
* Assisting in executing new product launch plans and programs
* Working with internal/external design resources to develop sales and product communication materials (toolkits, etc.)
* Representing global parties and assisting in the execution of their marketing plans
* Advising distributors and collaborating with them on their marketing strategy execution
ANALYSIS
* Tracking brand support spending and monitoring budget compliance
* Forecasting product demand and managing inventory levels with managers
* Generating, presenting, and applying insights from monthly business analysis (category, competitor, customer)
* Assisting in executing Slim/Squeeze strategies
* Uncovering category, competitive, and consumer insights and recommending appropriate actions
* Gathering and updating product portfolio and pricing information on all competitors
* Analyzing and setting up pricing for the CND portfolio
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
* Attending interdepartmental meetings to document progress and commitments
* Participating in sales meetings, focus groups, and industry events to broaden exposure and industry knowledge
* Initiating and tracking product/project start forms/systems
* Managing new products, promotions, updates, and artwork changes
* Supporting the development and launch of global brand initiatives
* Executing promotional programs and brand projects within strategy, time, and budget constraints
* Monitoring project timelines and following up with cross-functional teams
* Coordinating distributor mailings and sampling/PR programs
EVENT MANAGEMENT
* Planning, coordinating, and executing education, marketing, and sales events
* Serving as the primary contact for CND international events
* Managing event negotiations and budgets
* Providing ideas for locations, themes, and activities
* Managing vendors and support teams for successful event execution
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Fluent English is a must
* Commitment, attention to detail, excellent work habits, and a desire to develop skills
* Solid understanding of marketing principles, practices, and procedures
* Awareness of salon distribution channels and competitors
* Familiarity with tiered distribution
* Leadership and initiative
* Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to conceptualize ideas, summarize research, write copy, and conduct business reviews
