Are you passionate about algorithm development, high-performance software engineering and cloud technologies? We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with strong algorithmic capabilities to contribute to the next-generation Galileo Reference Centre (GRC).
**The Galileo Reference Centre (GRC)** is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the performance of Galileo, ensuring that users receive the most accurate and reliable satellite data. GMV is the prime contractor for its development, operation and maintenance, leading the implementation of cutting-edge navigation algorithms and managing the entire HW and SW infrastructure.
After several years of successful operations, a major evolution of the system (GRC V2) is on the horizon. This new version will introduce a modern cloud-based architecture, ensuring that the GRC remains a key monitoring tool for all GNSS systems and services.
You will be part of an agile development team and work on:
- Designing and implementing high-performance algorithms for the GRC system.
- Developing software in **C++ and Python**, following industry best practices.
- Developing and implementing solutions in a cloud-native environment, leveraging **Kubernetes, containerized microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.**:
- Contributing to the evolution of GRC V2, ensuring its long-term success and technological leadership.
- Algorithm development and optimization: design and implementation of high-performance algorithms for GNSS data processing and system monitoring.
- Software development: writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable C++ and Python code following industry best practices.
- Cloud-native development: contributing to the design and implementation of a containerized microservices architecture, leveraging Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
