You will identify, engage, and onboard new local merchants across categories such as food & drink, health & beauty, leisure & experiences, and home & auto services.This is a 100% remote field‑sales role where you drive merchant acquisition through proactive outbound prospecting, in‑person meetings, and full sales‑cycle ownership in the Dortmund area.North StarBuild a strong pipeline of new local merchants in the Dortmund/Ruhr region and onboard 3+ quality partners weekly that meet Groupon’s profitability standards.What You’ll DoHunt new business in the field: Proactively identify and contact prospective local merchants across Dortmund and the Ruhr metropolitan area through outbound calls, in‑person visits, and strategic territory planning.Own your territory: Represent the Groupon brand throughout the Dortmund metro region, conduct merchant appointments in person, build local market knowledge, and establish Groupon as the partner of choice.Manage the full sales cycle: Qualify merchant needs, present Groupon’s value proposition, negotiate deals, and close 3 merchants per week independently.Meet performance targets: Achieve €20K‑22K Gross Profit per quarter while maintaining 200 minutes of talk time per week, conducting 25‑30 solid outbound calls weekly, and booking 8‑10 appointments per week.Master your pipeline: Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline updates, and forecasting in Salesforce, managing 40‑50 active opportunities.Ensure merchant success: Collaborate with Merchant Success teams to support smooth onboarding and set partners up for success.Work autonomously with support: Operate independently in a 100% remote environment while staying connected to your manager and wingman colleagues.Leverage AI‑enabled tools: Use AI‑powered sales tools to support outreach, prepare conversations, prioritize territory opportunities, and follow up efficiently.What You Bring- Based in or near Dortmund – required for regular in‑person visits.- Fluent German (native or business level).- Professional English for internal communication.- Minimum 1‑2 years of sales or business development experience.- Hunter mentality – comfortable with cold calling and field sales.- Mobility within Dortmund/Ruhr region and willingness to travel.- Resilience – ability to handle rejection and maintain momentum.- Strong communication skills – confident engaging with business owners by phone and in person.- Basic CRM familiarity – experience with Salesforce or similar tools;
