This role can be based in either of our sites in Palafolls or Esplugues
About the role
Supporting the global business, its brands and its products by providing expert legal advice and guidance to the internal stakeholders on a variety of legal matters, including Corporate Secretary (CoSec), Compliance, IP, Employment, GDPR and contract review.
Responsibilities
* Provide legal advice and support on company secretarial matters (CoSec) in accordance with the relevant legislation on company law in the UK and liaising with internal departments and subsidiaries as well as with external providers on CoSec matters.
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection, intellectual property rights, competition law and conduct investigations on the base of the whistleblowing cases. This includes assisting with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
* Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts (commercial, service, supply, license, NDAs, etc.).
* Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends to mitigate potential risks.
* Provide legal training and advice to colleagues on such as compliance, ethics and best practices.
* Collaborate with other Legal Team members, the Head of Legal and / or external advisors when requested or needed in advising on mergers, acquisitions or other corporate transactions, including due diligence and structuring of agreements. This includes other specialized legal issues with external counsels or other legal resources for services to the business.
* Assist and collaborate with the relevant members of the team in managing and coordinating any legal disputes or litigation involving the company.
* Routine legal advice and tasks.
About you
* Preferably UK-qualified solicitor with minimum of three years’ post qualification experience
* Fluency in English is essential for this role, in addition, professional level Spanish would be desirable
* Experience in an international manufacturing business is desirable
* Experience in working independently and within a team
* Good communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all the stakeholders
* Accessibility with a commitment to provide a high level of service and responsiveness in order the business achieves its commercial objectives
* An appetite to develop legal expertise in unfamiliar jurisdictions and legal fields
