Director of Operations – IP Renewals
to lead and scale our renewals organization. This individual will oversee the renewals team, optimize processes, and partner with sales, operations, and account management to drive client satisfaction and business growth.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
Build upon, lead, and mentor a high‑performing renewals team with clear metrics and performance goals.
Collaborate with account management, sales and finance teams to proactively address risks, escalations, or complex renewal issues.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, helping them understand the value of Sun IP’s offering.
Design and implement efficient, scalable processes for managing high‑volume, time‑sensitive IP renewals.
Drive automation and system improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for IP renewals.
Partner with senior leadership to forecast renewals revenue and report on key growth and retention metrics.
The successful candidate will have:
At least 10 years’ IP experience with direct experience managing IP Renewals.
Expert level knowledge of payments of both Patent and Trademark renewals.
Experience making direct payments to IP offices where allowed.
Experience leading high‑performing teams.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
Organizational and prioritization skills.
Clear and concise communication skills.
