The opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair category for Bioiberica. You will ensure full utilization of our global buying power, category strategies, and contracts are fully implemented while meeting all Business Unit specific requirements. You will work closely with the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, Head of Procurement, and other Global Category Managers to implement tools, standards, policies, and processes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Bioiberica and dotted line to the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, you will collaborate with other Global Category and Procurement Managers across five continents, leveraging collective strengths to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement sourcing and contracting approaches aligned with stakeholder requirements.
* Develop category strategies consistent with global standards, guidelines, processes, and policies tailored to Business Unit needs.
* Ensure security of supply cost-effectively by understanding suppliers, market dynamics, and drivers.
* Negotiate favorable conditions with suppliers and ensure all relevant Business Units benefit from these conditions.
* Support local teams in executing global strategies, fostering continuous improvement, negotiation skills, and supplier relationship management.
* Create and maintain a reporting structure to monitor category performance and compliance.
* Lead sourcing and contracting projects, ensuring their implementation across Business Units.
* Manage material qualification processes to assess new sources efficiently, mitigating risks to customers and the business.
* Maintain ongoing supplier relationships, setting expectations, monitoring performance, and fostering innovation and cost savings through supplier investments and technology development.
About you
* Degree in a relevant field, with postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CIPS preferred.
* 4-5 years of experience in strategic category management within Capex, Maintenance, and Repairs, ideally across multiple countries.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Experience in direct and indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and compliance management.
