**Purpose of the job**:
In this role, you will take ownership of daily transport operations while ensuring smooth coordination between teams, systems, and external partners. Your focus will be on delivering reliable logistics services, maintaining high operational standards, and enabling continuous improvements across the department. Key responsibilities include:
- **Planning & Scheduling**: Use transport software to manage material movement, prepare logistics schedules, and coordinate delivery timetables with customers.
- **Human Resource Management**: Lead team meetings, conduct performance evaluations, support recruitment, and foster a collaborative working environment.
- **Tracking & Reporting**: Monitor inventory movements across all transport modes, reroute shipments when necessary, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- **Service Provider Management**: Collaborate with transport partners, secure required permits, and manage export documentation to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
- **Data & Process Improvement**: Maintain accurate master data and contribute to process and system enhancements that improve operational efficiency.
**Profile**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years in transport operations or logistics coordination.
- **Skills**:
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (both verbal and written).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of WEP systems and proven problem-solving skills in transport challenges.
- **Preferred**: Experience with 3PL operations, planning, and project management. Ability to independently manage complex projects and challenge conventional solutions.
