The Foundation is fully committed to being decisive incontributing with integral solutions to the problem of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, aswell as to raising social awareness to ensure that scientific support for these challenges achieves theappropriate priority. The Foundation's research is carried out through the Barcelonaßeta BrainResearch Center (BBRC), a research center of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation established in 2012with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and “la Caixa” Foundation.The vision of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation is to achieve "A future without Alzheimer" framing iton active and healthy aging, with positive experiences and free of cognitive problems and declines. Tothis end, BBRC's research is directed towards the primary and secondary prevention of Alzheimer'sdisease, which is possible thanks to the participation of thousands of people who voluntarilycontribute to scientific studies to ensure that, in the near future, there will be far fewer sick people.The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a private non-profit entity. Its financial resources come fromphilanthropic donations from entities and companies, as well as from an extensive network of morethan 80,000 members who contribute to funding the research. The research center's scientific staffalso competitively obtains grants and subsidies, mainly from European funds and internationalfoundations. The FPM team has cross-functional managementareas such as IT systems, finance, human resources, communication, social area, and fundraising. TheBBRC's scientific team consists of research personnel and professionals in the fields of medicine,biology, psychology, and nursing, among others. All within a dynamic environment, where continuouschallenges are part of the work scope of the Foundation.About the ProjectThe Pasqual Maragall Foundation is driving the creation of a Hub that will accelerate research andinnovation in the field of Alzheimer's disease, through the collaboration of different public and privateactors in Barcelona, including hospitals, research centers, pharmaceutical and technology industries,and non-profit entities.The Alzheimer Hub will contribute to promoting and generating synergies for the execution ofresearch projects of excellence bringing science, innovation, and value together. Additionally, it aimsto help make Barcelona an international referent in Alzheimer's research, based on research ofexcellence and care work carried out in the city.Among the main objectives of this Alzheimer Hub, some are: to increase both the quantity and thequality of Alzheimer's research taking place in the city of Barcelona; to enhance the transferof theC/Wellington 3008005 BarcelonaT +34 93 316 09 90results of these activities into clinical practice; to attract international networking activities(congresses, courses, symposiums) about dementias in the city of Barcelona; and to increase trainingin all the necessary aspects for research in dementias, both for treating patients, and for supportingtheir families.About the jobThe Pasqual Maragall Foundation is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Scientific AllianceManager to oversee and coordinate collaborative research initiatives within The Alzheimer Hub.As the Scientific Alliance Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating effective communication andcollaboration among diverse scientific institutions, managing project timelines, and ensuring thesuccessful execution of projects within an Alliance framework. This role requires a unique blend ofscientific expertise, project management skills, and interpersonal abilities to foster a collaborative andproductive research environment.Main ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for this position include:Alliance Coordination- Facilitate communication and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams involved inscientific alliance.- Ensure that the initial research network activities are successful:- Resources inventory- Scientific core facilities access.- Fellowship and grant program.- Coordinate regular meetings, workshops, and conferences to foster knowledge exchangeand collaboration.Project Management- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, andbudget constraints.- Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keepprojects on track.- Report the activities progress to the different stakeholders, including HUB dire
