Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to manage the day‑by‑day physical security operations of sites in the Huesca area.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate day‑to‑day activities and site security operations.
* Direct and manage a contract guard force to run daily data center operations.
* Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel.
* Walk a facility to observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
* Evaluate contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
* Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
* Extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing data.
* Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
* Assist in all media integrity related programs.
* Assist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures.
* Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team.
* Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
* Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global security initiatives.
* Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security‑related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards.
* Participate in site audits, inspections and walk‑throughs.
* Identify, discuss and bring forward issues and solutions to senior team members.
* Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs.
A Day in the Life
This position is 80% operational and 20% tactical. The DSS will support a senior Data Center Security Manager in charge of physical security operations in multiple Data Centers, supervising the contract guard force, conducting drills and tests, investigating alarms, and participating in daily operations from a security point of view, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
* Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
* Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish.
* Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
* Hold Professional Identity Card (TIP) as security director qualification or ability to obtain one.
* Hold Habilitacion Personal de Seguridad (HPS) or the ability to obtain one.
* Valid driver's license with access to a personal vehicle for daily use.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field.
* Member of professional bodies such as ASIS, OSAC or CSyP.
* Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent.
* Experience in physical security (CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems).
* Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
