Position Overview :
We are seeking a motivated and driven Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Specialty Pharmaceuticals Global Portfolio Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific or medical background, with experience in evaluating commercial opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. While a background in healthcare investment banking or consulting is advantageous, a deep understanding of the scientific and medical aspects of innovative treatments is essential. This role requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Evaluate new commercial opportunities within the specialty pharmaceuticals sector, with a focus on innovative treatments for rare diseases.
* Develop comprehensive forecasts and deal models to support business decisions.
* Collaborate closely with the business development team and expert functions to align on strategic objectives and drive project success.
* Screen and monitor ongoing developments in therapeutic areas of interest to identify potential opportunities.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
* Ensure accuracy and reliability in all analytical assessments and reporting.
* Maintain high levels of motivation and resilience, demonstrating the ability to transition seamlessly between projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
* PhD or Medical Degree required.
* Proven experience in healthcare investment banking or consulting, or a similar role in the innovative pharmaceutical industry.
* Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
* High proficiency in English.
* Ability to travel occasionally to our headquarters in Germany.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively and deliver high-quality results.
* Strong presentation skills with the ability to convey complex messages simply and effectively to senior management.
