About the role
Provide business support to the Country Manager in DACH translating financial data into actionable operational insights to help her/him make the appropriate business decisions to drive efficiency, profitability and growth.
Key asset managing budget and forecast and financial analysis, while providing key decision support to Country Manager and Regional leadership.
Perform the controlling of the DACH subsidiaries in accordance with statutory accounting laws and US GAAP, the company's guidelines and procedures, in order to faithfully complete the financial statements.
What you'll be doing
Commercial & Strategic support by updating operational and financial budgeting, planning and forecasts on monthly/quarterly and yearly basis
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide accurate, timely month-end results and variance analysis to Country Manager and EMEA leaders and highlight risks and opportunities.
Business Support and Improvement in day-to-day transactions
Ad hoc Analysis and Reporting
Cashflow forecast
Quarterly sales bonus and commissions calculations.
Month end closing both in US GAAP and local statutory (including prepaids, accruals, accounting checks, reserves)
Manage internal and external audits
Fulfillment of tax, legal and statutory entities obligations
Support Compliance, Legal and HR departments
Accounts reconciliations
What you'll need
Previous proven experience in similar position working within the DACH region (5 years)
Master/bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
Organized, rigorous and methodical
Motivated professional with highly analytical skills
Management and communication skills
Problem solving skills and being able to work under pressure
Proactive, accountable and customer oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (i.e. Oracle) and consolidation/visualization tools (i.e. OneStream, PowerBI)
Fluent level of English and German (desirable)
Good knowledge of local and US GAAP
