Ingeniero/a Mecánico/a Junior para Diseño de Centrales Hidroeléctricas y Presas
Join us at Sener as a Ingeniero/a Mecánico/a Junior para Diseño de Centrales Hidroeléctricas y Presas. We are looking for a mechanical engineer to support our design team in areas such as process, equipment, piping, and installations at our offices in Bilbao, Madrid, or Barcelona.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in feasibility, basic, and detailed engineering projects for hydroelectric plants and dams, focusing on design and calculation of mechanical and hydromechanical equipment and associated piping.
* Communicate with manufacturers of hydraulic generation equipment (turbines, generators, valves, etc.) to request and follow up on offers and sizing, ensuring integration into projects and compliance with requirements.
* Produce project documentation such as design criteria, calculations, specifications, reports, budgets, and annexes.
* Coordinate and review work by drafting designers, including 3D modeling, interfaces, routing, support, isometrics, and equipment layout.
* Engage with other disciplines like civil, geotechnical, structural, electrical, and MEP teams during project execution.
* Support business development through preparing proposals, presentations, and participating in events.
* Contribute to internal R&D activities related to mechanical design advancements in hydroelectric and dam projects.
* Assist project management with scope, planning, and documentation activities.
* Participate as a mechanical engineer in related water engineering projects such as desalination and treatment plants.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
* 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical systems design, preferably involving dams or hydroelectric plants.
* Proficiency in English at B2 level.
* Valuable skills include experience in equipment selection/calculation, piping, support design, AutoCAD 2D, Plant 3D, and project phases from bidding to detailed engineering.
* Experience with on-site installation, commissioning, and international projects is a plus.
