OverviewCapacity & Supply Planning Manager role at Affinity Petcare.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position within the Supply Chain Team responsible for short- and long-term production and capacity planning across five European manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the S&OP; Manager, the role leads a team of Production Planners to create optimal weekly plans and develop accurate capacity models to meet current and future demand.
Tools include IBP and SAP, with a strong emphasis on Master Data quality.What you will doLead the short- and long-term capacity and supply planning process across multiple factories, ensuring sites are aligned with projected demand and strategic targets.Standardize planning processes, tools, and KPIs across factories to drive alignment, visibility, and operational consistency.Build, maintain, and improve capacity models that account for maintenance schedules, downtimes, efficiency rates, extra shifts, and labour constraints.Translate volume forecasts from demand planning into feasible and optimized production plans from a capacity perspective.Identify capacity risks and constraints proactively and collaborate cross-functionally to develop mitigation strategies.Lead preparation and facilitation of capacity review meetings with factory and executive teams, clearly presenting risks, opportunities, and scenarios.Provide raw material forecasts for purchasing and support procurement planning and negotiations.Manage and develop a team of Production Planners through guidance, coaching, and technical support to enhance forecasting capabilities and supply planning excellence.Continuously improve team performance by eliminating low-value manual tasks, promoting automation, system improvements, and high-value analysis.Collaborate with IT, systems, and data teams to optimize planning tools and increase process automation.Support executive decision-making through simulations and scenario analyses assessing feasibility of future growth or supply changes.What we are looking forBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field.
A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.At least 5/8 years of experience in capacity and supply planning with exposure to factory operations and long-term production modelling in manufacturing (preferably FMCG).
Experience leading a team and driving development through coaching, performance management, and process improvement.Experience standardizing planning processes and tools across multiple sites or regions.Advanced proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Solid command of supply and demand planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, o9, Kinaxis, Anaplan) and advanced Excel/data manipulation skills; experience in leading system implementations or enhancements is a plus.SkillsStrong analytical capability with attention to detail.Proactive problem-solving and decision-making.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Deep understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.Desire to learn and grow within the role and the company.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Strong analytical and statistical skills.What we offerHybrid working modelFlexible working hoursTicket RestaurantsPension planFully equipped GymBreakfast and fresh fruitAffinity University platform for professional developmentPet-friendly officeCelebrations and FunWe value diverse backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all requirements.
