As part of the Solution Automation Integration and Testing group, you will operate within the cobas ultra omni Solution Layer. Your role as a Solution Integration Architect will lead the technical orchestration of validation campaigns, interfacing across multiple Product Teams and strategic external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Overarching Integration Strategy:
o Architect the master Solution Integration Strategy.
o Define the integration levels, quality gates between those levels, and the Continuous Integration (CI) roadmap.
o Establish governance for global implementation environments and automated verification pipelines.
* Lab & Emulator Topology Strategy:
o Define the virtual, hybrid, and physical lab setup strategy.
o Lead the conceptual design and architecture of the digital twin landscapes, and hardware/software emulator topologies required to accurately mirror different systems that compose the solution.
* Design for Testability:
o Act as the final technical gatekeeper by reviewing system use cases, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and high-level requirements to guarantee verifiable testability at the solution level.
o Identify and prioritize critical E2E solution workflows based on architectural risk.
* Cross-Functional Boundaries:
o Establish and enforce clear cross-functional test and technical responsibilities across the project's various delivery nodes (e.g., navify Integrator, navify Lab Operator, cobas ultra control unit, deployment & service tools).
* Technical Guidance & Automation Vision:
o Provide dedicated technical leadership, automation strategy, and coaching to embedded integration engineers, test automation developers, and analysts across the Solution Train.
o Facilitate bidirectional feedback with delivery streams to ensure consistent usage of quality gates.
* Technical Validation Campaign Leadership:
o Technically support the End-to-End (E2E) integration campaigns to verify that the complete system of systems meets intended performance, reliability, and customer needs.
Who You Are
* Education: University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related multi-disciplinary discipline.
* Experience: 10+ years of deep technical experience in multi-domain systems engineering, architecture design, and complex system integration, including at least 3 years explicitly focused on System-of-Systems (SoS) environments.
* Technical Depth: Hands-on background and documentation experience in test automation frameworks, continuous integration (CI) pipelines, DevOps, network topologies, and cloud computing. Proven mastery in emulator topology definition and design, as well as virtualized/simulated environment modeling.
* Soft Skills: Highly proficient in dealing with ambiguity and uncertain project conditions; possesses the absolute willingness to speak up, challenge delivery choices, and voice concerns constructively when quality or deliverables are at risk.
