PGameChange Solar (GCS), one of the largest US suppliers of solar racking and tracker systems, is seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Director to lead our international project engineering function. Project Engineering Delivery /pulliOversee and actively support engineering work across all project stages: preliminary design, detailed design, and construction documentation /liliReview and validate structural calculations, drawings, and design packages to ensure accuracy and compliance /liliProvide direct technical input on complex designs, challenging site conditions, and non-standard solutions /liliSupport resolution of engineering issues during project execution, including RFIs and site-related questions /li /ulp2. Regional Team Management /pulliManage and mentor a team of engineers across Europe and LATAM (including Engineering Managers and Project Engineers) /liliAllocate resources across projects to ensure timely delivery /liliStay closely involved in day-to-day team output, quality, and timelines /liliSupport hiring and onboarding of engineers as regional workload grows /li /ulp3. Design Quality Standards /pulliEnsure all engineering deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines /liliMaintain consistency in design approach, documentation, and calculation methods across regions /liliOversee QA/QC processes including peer reviews, drawing checks, and documentation validation /liliIdentify and address gaps in engineering quality early in the design process /li /ulp4. Cross-Functional Coordination /pulliWork closely with Project Management, Field Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable /liliCommunicate directly with clients, consultants, and permitting authorities when needed /liliSupport alignment between regional engineering teams and general product/design updates /li /ulp6. Cost Efficiency Design Optimization /pulliPropose and implement practical design improvements to reduce material usage and overall system cost /liliIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency in engineering workflows and turnaround time /liliApply lessons learned from past projects to continuously improve design approach /li /ulpbr/ppbJOB REQUIREMENTS: /b /pulliBachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s is a plus) /lili8–12+ years of relevant engineering experience, with progressive team leadership responsibility /liliStrong hands-on experience in structural design, solar racking/tracker systems, or similar EPC environments /liliProven ability to review engineering work in detail (calculations, drawings, layouts) /liliExperience managing engineering teams while remaining close to execution /liliFamiliarity with regional codes and permitting requirements in Europe and/or LATAM /liliProficiency in AutoCAD and engineering analysis tools /liliStrong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment /li /ulpbr/ppbPREFERRED: /b /pulliExperience in utility-scale solar projects /liliSpanish or Portuguese language skills (for LATAM coordination) /liliExperience working in multi-country or cross-regional teams /li /ul
