We want to convey a whole new digital experience to our customers, and for that reason, we need the most skilled professionals to join us. We are looking for a Data Protection Expert to help implement the following tasks in the German branch in close collaboration with the Head Quarter in Madrid.Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on important data compliance requirements, including data privacy impact assessments.Review privacy flows by design and by default to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures.Monitor compliance with national data protection regulations, in line with the supervisory program and control framework. Ensure the policies of the controller or processor regarding the protection of personal data, the assignment of responsibilities, and the corresponding audits.Provide guidelines for the conduct of marketing campaigns (consent / legitimate interest / etc.) and perform controls over this.Implement privacy controls to ensure compliance (KPIs).Maintain records of all data processing activities of the company.Monitor compliance with Openbank’s obligations as a data controller, including choosing only service providers that offer sufficient data protection guarantees. This includes monitoring their compliance with GDPR in accordance with the entity’s supplier approval procedures.Supervise the compliance by Openbank of the rights of data subjects, ensuring the obligation to provide data subjects with the exercise of their rights is met, and that procedures are visible, accessible, simple, and managed within regulatory deadlines.Promote a culture of data protection within the organization, contribute to GDPR compliance through training and awareness, and coordinate with other areas such as cybersecurity or risk management. Participate in various committees (Cybersecurity, Product Governance, Compliance, etc.).Conduct legal assessments from a data protection perspective for new projects.Draft and negotiate data protection agreements (controller-processor, joint controllership, etc.).Experience:
Completed studies with a legal or IT focus, with an affinity for data protection topics (Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default).Professional experience in the financial services sector or in IT is beneficial.Proficient in common software (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Prime advantageous).Structured, independent, and goal-oriented working methods with a hands-on mentality.Ability to communicate professionally and objectively with senior executives and decision-makers;
