JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Entry-level Business Analyst at OXON, you will play a pivotal role in analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making. Your expertise in Excel, budgeting, accounting and project costing will be essential in managing and interpreting complex data sets, creating detailed budgets and developing efficient solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare study budget estimates working with a team.
* Develop and maintain detailed reports and databases
* Working in financial activities (cash-flow, project reconciliations, financial reports, B/S, P&L and job costing)
* Assist in bid template updating using advanced excel
* Aid where required in corporate reporting data support
* Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) to analyse and interpret study success data
* Manage and prepare study changes in scope, budgeting, project, and job costing activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather bid/costing requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.
* Work with operational teams to estimate resource hours for supporting hiring decisions
* Ensure high quality and attention to detail in all deliverables.
* Create and maintain documentation of business processes and workflows.
* Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
* Entry-level experience in Accounting area, Business Analyst or similar role.
* Exposure to accounting concepts (P&L, accruals, invoicing, cash-flow, purchase orders).
* Exposure to financial corporate reporting review and evaluation.
* Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data visualization.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Education or job experience in accounting, budgeting, project, and job costing.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in finance or accounting.
* Familiarity with budgeting.
* Familiarity with clinical study operations. (not essential)
