As a flagship research center in nanoscience and nanotechnology, our mission is to explore new frontiers of knowledge at the nanoscale and bring societal value through innovation, understanding, and training future researchers. ICN2 focuses on physical and chemical properties arising from nanoscale matter. Research area or group: Marketing, Communication, and Fundraising
Description of Group/Project
The ICN2 Marketing, Communication & Fundraising Department disseminates cutting-edge research, manages communication channels, and promotes ICN2’s scientific achievements. The team maintains the institutional image, develops communication strategies for diverse audiences, and promotes responsible research and innovation (RRI).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Manage ICN2's social media channels, especially LinkedIn and Twitter, ensuring strategic engagement.
2. Develop and implement social media campaigns to grow the online community, focusing on alumni engagement on LinkedIn.
3. Stay updated on social media trends and platform algorithm changes to optimize presence and reach.
4. Create engaging, creative content aligned with ICN2’s brand and goals.
5. Engage with the online community, fostering dialogue and responding to feedback.
6. Monitor social media KPIs, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies accordingly.
7. Collaborate with other departments to align social media strategies with broader communication objectives.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field; additional training in social media management or digital marketing is a plus.
* Knowledge: Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Metricool, Hootsuite), Google Analytics, understanding of KPIs, community growth strategies, and familiarity with nanoscience/nanotechnology is valued but not mandatory.
* Language: High proficiency in English (C1 or above); native-level in Catalan and Spanish.
* Experience: Managing corporate social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter), content creation, community management, and data-driven strategy development. Photography and design skills are a plus.
