The Research and Development Engineer will focus on the design, development, and industrialisation of innovative products for demanding industrial markets such as aerospace, renewable energy, and civil markets. The successful candidate will work across a multidisciplinary environment, driving new product development and continuous improvement of existing solutions, with a strong emphasis on composite materials and structural applications.
We are seeking a Research & Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Valencia,
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Design & Development
Innovative & Proprietary Product Development.
New and existing product characterisation.
Manufacturing process design and development.
Research/Technical Leadership
Material testing, modelling, and data analysis of composite cables, rigging fittings and tooling.
Contribution to company IP/Patents/Dissemination.
Research on novel materials and techniques.
Project & People Management
Lead and guide support technicians.
Transversal product development from collection of requirements to final product industrialisation.
Rigorous research, data analysis and project reporting.
Business Development
Identify technical Insights.
Develop commercial cases for R&D.
Communication/Internal Customer Management
Technical support to Sales and Customer Care departments.
Regular communication to stakeholders about progress.
Support to Technical Internal & External Marketing.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Degree in Engineering 4 years or higher in subjects such as Aeronautical, Naval, Industrial Engineering or Materials Science.
A high level of communication skills in English is required. B2 minimum.
Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
More than 2 years in the same or similar position
Working experience in research, product development, structural analysis, composite materials manufacturing and design and preparation of manufacturing tooling.
Proactive, self-starter with an engineering background.
Leadership qualities: ability to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding, and dynamic environment.
Strong project management skills - results focused.
Hands-on style. Agile transition from concept to prototype to redesign.
Experience in navigation is an asset.
Experience in CAD/FEA software (Solid works, AutoCAD, Abaqus).
Flexibility to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites.
