As a Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, selecting, qualifying, and continuously developing the best supply base through Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles, aiming to exceed internal and external customer expectations at a global level for the assigned categories.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategies, coordinating with global and local teams and ensuring alignment with operations to guarantee business continuity and future scalability.
Lead the assigned categories at a global level.
Manage, plan, and track procurement activities, cost budgets, business spending, and savings forecasts for the category.
Negotiate agreements with key suppliers and periodically renew price lists, terms, and conditions.
Adapt the corporate contractual framework to local business needs, recommending and executing frame agreements as approved.
Define and maintain local standard agreements with major suppliers, ensuring compliance with Company directives and guidelines.
Develop processes, tools, analytics, and dashboards relevant to the assigned category in collaboration with development teams.
Contribute to setting and implementing budgets and targets within the strategic framework.Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and a Master of Science in Engineering or Economics.
CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.Languages:
Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.Experience:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in sourcing and category management, with sound knowledge of industrial companies.Personal and Soft Skills:
Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different divisions and business areas.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal and external customers, RD, and Local Divisions.
Cultural awareness, excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.Technical and Functional Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute complex category strategies.
Knowledge of UK and EU Procurement Legislation.
Proven experience in end-to-end category management and execution of complex procurement activities.
Strong contract management skills, including drafting specialized terms and dispute procedures.
Proficient in procurement-related systems such as SIEVO, SAP, market indices, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical skills and experience in consumer insights development and sourcing levers.Why Join Us?
