Radio Systems Engineer – Getafe (Madrid)
Airbus Defence and Space SAU is looking for a Radio Systems Engineer to join the Radio Systems Department in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will work on the integration of radio systems in the MRTT platform and support a portfolio of military aircraft platforms including C295, EF2000, A400M, ED, and SIRTAP.
Responsibilities
* Radio system integration in MRTT platform.
* Involvement in other Airbus DS Military Aircraft platforms (C295, EF2000, A400M, ED, SIRTAP).
* Allocate aircraft requirements to a Communications System.
* Define the architecture and specifications of the Communications system.
* Elaborate engineering design documentation.
* Responsible for Communications system design, integration, qualification and certification.
* Support feasibility studies for new products/user needs.
* Supplier technical management.
* Support the whole design process including design review meetings.
* Support meetings with end customer.
* Support Certification and Qualification process.
* Support Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.).
* Support transversal areas such as Services, Production, Procurement, etc.
* Support test campaign sequencing, test procedures & facilities.
* Monitor and support tests and perform real‑time analysis of test results.
* Contribute to R&T programs related to SDR/SCA Radios.
* Keep up to date with international regulations: ICAO, FAA, EASA, EUROCONTROL, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
* Telecommunications Engineering degree or similar.
* 3 years of experience in systems engineering or development of avionics systems.
* Good knowledge of Communication Functions in other platforms.
* Background knowledge: Inmarsat/Iridium Satcom, Radios (V/UHF, VHF, HF), Civil Datalink (FANS, CPDLC).
* International project experience.
* Strong English and Spanish skills.
* Good communication skills and proactive approach to problem solving.
* Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team.
* Assertiveness.
* Open‑mindedness and willingness to take on new challenges.
