JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join the B·ARGO (Badalona·Applied Research in Oncology) group at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP). The selected candidate will work on the iPARPResist project, focused on ovarian cancer research, in close collaboration with the Medical Oncology Service at ICO Badalona.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge translational cancer research within a multidisciplinary and dynamic team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or similar
* Hold a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology or similar
* The candidate must be eligible and willing to enroll in a PhD program.
* High level of English (minimum B1 level)
* Previous experience in laboratory of cancer molecular biology
* Hold a certificate in research animal handling
Proven experience in:
* Ovarian cancer field
* In vitro cell culture techniques and drug testing
* Gene editing in human 2D models
* Molecular techniques such as DNA, RNA and protein isolation, western blotting, qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence (IF)/ immunohistochemistry(IHC) and flow cytometry.
* In vivo models
* Handling of clinical patient samples.

WHAT WE OFFER
* Full‑time indefinite position (1,628 hours annually)
* Date of incorporation: 8th of January 2026
* Gross annual remuneration inherent to the call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Join an ongoing translational research project focused on understanding ovarian cancer, establishing patient sample collection workflows, and performing their analysis using multi‑omics and direct analytical techniques. The role will also involve in vitro culture of 2D models to conduct functional assays, including gene‑editing approaches and drug testing, as well as the implantation of these models in murine systems. Finally, the position will require developing skills in the analysis and interpretation of RNA‑seq data.
