—JOB PROFILE:Store ManagerREPORTS TO: District ManagerMAIN JOB OBJECTIVEThe General Manager (GM)/Store Manager is responsible for the overall management of the store, management team, team, merchandise and customer service.
This role is also responsible for recruiting, developing and training a staff of elevated managers and sales professionals to achieve stretch sales objectives, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining exceptionally high operational and merchandise standards.
The GM/Store Manager will train and develop the Management and wider team to be fully accountable for the smooth operation and achievement of results within the store.
The GM/Store Manager will be a true brand ambassador and support the District and Region where necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIESSALES GENERATIONMeet and exceed sales goals/plansAnalyse available sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set the overall business strategy for the storeSet individual performance goals for management teams, categories and sales associates, ensuring goals reflect store business goalsContinuously motivate and drive team to meet assigned sales and productivity goalsSupport the development of associates' sales techniques, ensuring utilisation of elevated levels of sales and service to maximize sales by partnering with the management team planning /executing strategyDemonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise; ensure selling team are fluent in all aspects of product knowledgeDemonstrate sales leadership for team by playing an active role on the selling floorCollaborate with Line Manager and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities to support salesPartner with Stakeholders to drive performanceCollaborate with the Management team and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities to support sales CUSTOMER SERVICEEnsure all members of team provide the highest level of customer serviceEnsure team maintains constant client communication through utilizing their client booksManage client database and utilise information to increase sales and client contactResolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectivelyTrain management on how to handle various customer service issuesManage all special events inclusive of collection previews, client events, sale events and center events, etc.Empower associates to make decisions in the customer's best interest that also support the Company's philosophyOPERATIONSEnsure facility maintenanceEnsure cash control procedures are properly followed including: bank deposits, safe funds and petty cashControl store expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce costsSchedule associates to maintain adequate floor coverage while maintaining payroll budgetsEnsure deliveries are properly processed in a timely mannerMonitor the movement of all inventory and ensure that team adheres to all Shipping/Receiving policies and proceduresMeet inventory accuracy and shrink requirementsEnsure the team are trained in all areas of appropriate register usage and maintenanceUnderstand and properly execute all management register functionsSupport, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, inter-store communicationBuild and maintain good communication with members of corporate office, and other storesExhibit proficiency in computer programs used by the Company MERCHANDISING/ VISUALImplement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategiesPartner with logistics, product teams and supervisor to ensure appropriate assortment for the storeEnsure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all timesEnsure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual directionIdentify and communicate product concerns in a timely mannerCommunicate inventory needs to support the business goalPEOPLE DEVELOPMENTRecruit, train, and develop management team and team ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified talentSupport, implement and provide follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.Continually evaluate the performance of each manager and subsequently all associates alongside the management team to provide constant feedback to ensure resultsResolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, working with the management team in store to partner with HR when necessaryEnsure integrity of payroll and the payroll processEnsure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image and adhered to at all times—At Capri, we are all responsible for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.We try to inspire change and growth within each other and believe success is a result that comes from our differences.
