Job Description:
A leading traffic-technology company is looking for an experienced System Engineer/Customer Project Manager to serve as the primary interface between its internal engineering team and an external supplier responsible for the design and assembly of traffic- and tolling-equipment subsystems.

Madrid, Spain (occasional travel to supplier production sites)
- Languages:
Spanish (fluent) required;
English professional working proficiency preferred
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all activities from initial design specification through final design approval.
* Review incoming design requests from internal stakeholders, clarify open points with the supplier’s design & construction team, and provide structured feedback.
* Facilitate design reviews with the supplier;
consolidate questions and ensure timely closure of action items.
* Compile evidence (DFM reports, risk assessments, test results) required for prototype and serial-production release.
* Support prototype builds, organize design-freeze and gate reviews, and drive actions toward serial-production readiness.
* Implement spot-check and final-inspection programs on the assembly line to secure stable product quality.
* Raise and track non-conformance reports (8D/NCR) until closure, in line with the company’s quality policy.
Required Experience & Skills
* 5+ years in System Engineering, Technical Project Management, or Industrialization for electro-mechanical products
* Proven experience working with external design and contract-manufacturing partners
* Solid understanding of design-for-manufacture (DFM), prototype validation, and serial-release processes
* Hands-on knowledge of quality-assurance tools (FMEA, control plans, SPC, ISO 9001/IATF 16949, 8D)
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
able to bridge engineering and production teams
* Fluent Spanish;
professional English for meetings and technical documentation
Nice-to-Have
* Background in traffic technology, tolling systems, or industrial sensors
* Experience with international supply chains and US-based manufacturing partner
* Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and ERP integration
