About the Role:
A senior leadership position overseeing complex technological transformation initiatives in the payments industry, focusing on portfolio value optimization through effective resource allocation and investment prioritization. Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with domain leads and stakeholders across multiple time zones.
2. Implement a flexible governance framework that bridges Agile and Waterfall approaches, standardizing delivery while maintaining agility and compliance to ensure predictability and efficiency.
3. Manage project dependencies between Agile and Waterfall teams, synchronizing sprint cycles with waterfall phases and key milestones for smooth transition and integration.
4. Establish portfolio governance and direct portfolio balancing and optimization to maximize business value, leveraging analytical skills and expertise in planning and stakeholder management.
5. Develop metrics and executive dashboards to communicate progress, including ROI, risk exposure, and resource utilization, guiding teams towards informed decision-making.
6. Capacity planning, optimizing specialized skill utilization while maintaining project momentum and delivery quality, adapting to changing business needs and priorities.
7. Lead stakeholder management across business units, partners, and technology teams, communicating effectively in English and Spanish, influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
8. Manage portfolio budgets using fixed Waterfall project funding and variable Agile capacity funding models, driving continuous improvement and identifying lessons learned.
9. Guide teams through methodology transitions, mentoring project managers in hybrid practices and fostering knowledge sharing, promoting collaboration and innovation.
10. Lead M&A technology integration programmes and platform consolidation initiatives, navigating complex technical landscapes and ensuring successful outcomes.
About You:
1. +10 Years of experience managing complex projects and handling multiple stakeholders, with a proven track record of delivering results under pressure.
2. Proficient in project and portfolio management methodologies, with expertise in planning, stakeholder management, and communication, possessing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
3. Experience with project management tools, preferably JIRA Software – Atlassian package, leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both locally and globally.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
6. Experience working with global, multicultural teams across different time zones, adapting to diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
7. Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively, navigating complex technical landscapes and ensuring successful outcomes.
8. Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 level or higher) is required, enabling effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
9. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating academic excellence and professional growth.
