The opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair category for Bioiberica. You will ensure the full utilization of our global buying power, category strategies, and that contracts are fully implemented while meeting all Business Unit specific requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, the Head of Procurement, and other Global Category Managers to implement tools, standards, policies, and processes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Bioiberica and with a dotted line to the Global Category Manager CAPEX, Maintenance, & Repair, you will collaborate closely with other Global Category and Procurement Managers across five continents, leveraging each other's strengths to drive collective success.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement a sourcing and contracting approach aligned with key stakeholder requirements.
* Implement category strategy in line with global strategies, including standards, guidelines, processes, and policies tailored to Business Unit specific needs.
* Develop and execute strategies that ensure secure, cost-effective supply, with a thorough understanding of suppliers, market dynamics, fundamentals, and drivers.
* Negotiate competitive conditions with suppliers and ensure these conditions are fully utilized by all relevant Business Units.
* Support local teams in executing the global strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, negotiation excellence, supplier relationship management, and procurement knowledge development.
* Create and implement a robust reporting structure to monitor category performance and compliance.
* Drive sourcing and contracting projects, ensuring their proper implementation and adherence by Business Units.
* Manage material qualification processes, assessing new sources promptly while mitigating risks to customers and business relationships.
* Maintain ongoing supplier relationship management, including expectation setting, performance review, continuous improvement, and encouraging supplier innovation and cost savings.
About you
* Degree qualified in an appropriate field, complemented by postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CIPS.
* 4-5 years of experience in strategic category management within CAPEX, Maintenance, and Repairs, preferably across multiple countries.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with significant influencing and negotiation capabilities.
* Experience in direct and indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and compliance management.
