**Role purpose**:
The key purpose of the IoT Customer Solutions team in VBPS IoT Managed Connectivity is to ensure that we deliver value to customers faster whilst using our resources in the most effective way. The role will work in the intersection of sales, technical pre-sales, solution architecture and engineering with a high degree of collaboration across the IoT Engineering teams in Managed Connectivity and Group Networks as well as Customer Delivery Teams in VBTS. This role requires a highly capable and motivated technical engineer to ensure Vodafone retains its competitive leadership position in IoT through continuous high levels of solution delivery, stability and reliability. The Deployment Architect works in partnership with the IoT Vodafone Business teams and our customers to focus on bespoke customer requests.
- Ensure that custom customer requirements are clear and understood.
- Establishes clear technical design for each customer request, performs engineering where required and manages the delivery of bespoke customers solutions in conjunction with IoT Line of Business, Vodafone Business and VBTS.
- Takes end-to-end ownership of a diverse range of projects and initiatives, interfacing and influencing amongst Sales, Tech-PreSales, other engineering functions and VBTS.
- Passionate about delivering a great customer experience by implementing bespoke Vodafone IoT Solutions globally.
- Ensures, where possible, that bespoke solution requests will be simplified and fed into the standard roadmaps of the IoT practice engineering teams.
- Identifies opportunities for business improvements and requirements for fit-for-purpose customer-oriented solutions to enable business strategy and agreed priorities; ensures a customer feedback loop and roadmap inputs.
- Work in close collaboration with solution trains in NPD and Transformation teams to understand feature roadmaps to suggest appropriate solutions.
- Will analyse, configure and test complex customer or partner network integrations.
**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Educated to technical degree/masters level.
- Experience and/or certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM master) advantageous for position.
- Deep understanding of Telecommunication architecture (Packet & Circuit switched,
- IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, VPN, NNI, MPLS,VOLTE, 5G, LTE, HSS).
