Operations Lead
This role is responsible for operationally leading and coordinating a group of Network Operators (Logistics Operators), ensuring the daily execution of transport from/to nurseries, growers, coolers, packaging suppliers, and end-customers. The goal is to achieve the highest standards and meet agreed KPIs such as Time-Window Performance, Vehicle Utilization, and Total Logistics Cost Management.
Additionally, the Operations Lead is responsible for leading the testing of the complete solution before implementation, ensuring all LLP systems are aligned with the Business Requirements Document.
Main Accountabilities
* Responsible for daily transportation capacity booking with carriers and managing the end-to-end inbound and outbound network, primarily focusing on road transportation.
* Identify, recommend, and support change opportunities for network activities. Manage team output to align with overall strategy and business objectives.
* Manage the implementation of re-engineered network solutions without affecting production, ensuring KPIs benefit from the implemented solutions.
* Ensure operations are delivered according to ISO documentation, identifying and managing process changes.
* Oversee the Network Operators team, ensuring balanced workload distribution and serving as the key contact for operational and human resources issues.
* Lead costs investigation and 8D requests related to Route Management Processes.
* Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve performance goals, fostering a collaborative environment.
* Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment on objectives.
* Adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new ideas to improve team performance and project outcomes.
* Encourage open dialogue and provide constructive feedback for team development.
* Proactively identify challenges and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
* Maintain strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with team members.
Job Requirements
* Education: Logistics studies, Business Administration, or similar.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in road transport, warehousing, and logistics environment.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams and rotational shifts.
* Knowledge of road, air, and sea transport operations.
* Desirable: experience within temperature-controlled standards and supply chain management.
* Experience in implementing new logistics solutions for new customers.
* Previous team leadership experience.
* Knowledge of sector customer trends and needs.
* Fluent in English (verbal & written) and Spanish (verbal & written).
