Sales Manager – Spain

Our client is a fast-growing Asian automotive brand with a global footprint and a strong focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability. Following its successful expansion across several international markets, the company is now entering the Spanish market and is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive commercial operations and market penetration from the ground up in line with the company’s objectives.
Job Purpose:
The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in launching and growing the brand’s presence in Spain. As the first local sales leader, you will define and implement the national sales strategy, build a high-performing dealer network, and ensure commercial success through effective go-to-market planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute the national sales strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Forecast sales targets, set KPIs, and monitor performance across regions and dealers.
• Identify growth opportunities and define the commercial roadmap for Spain.
Market Development & Customer Engagement
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer behaviors to adapt strategy accordingly.
• Work closely with marketing and aftersales teams to ensure a consistent brand experience.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and product launches.
Reporting & Collaboration
• Provide regular performance reports to headquarters and regional leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, finance, and service departments.
• Act as the voice of the Spanish market within the organization, advocating for local needs.
Candidate Profile: Professional Experience:
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience launching or expanding a car brand in a new market is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of the Spanish dealer network and retail automotive operations is essential.
• Experience with Asian OEMs or electric vehicle (EV) startups is highly valued.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strategic thinker with strong execution and operational management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable in fast -moving environments.
• Strong commercial acumen and a hands-on leadership style.
Languages:
• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Mandarin or another Asian language is a plus but not required.
Mobility:
• Willingness to travel across Spain and occasionally to the European HQ or Asia.
