X-Plant Operations Leader within Airbus Defence and Space, San Pablo (Sevilla).
We are seeking an experienced X-Plant Operations Manager with a strong background in A400M aircraft structures and systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‐on experience with various A400M components and systems, as well as a proven track record in managing complex operations and multidisciplinary teams. This role requires a proactive individual with the ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations related to A400M
* Manage and coordinate activities related to the A400M Wing, Nose Fuselage, Pylons, Centre Wing Box, and Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) within the production team.
* Manage NCs, TLBs, FINObs, QSRs, MODs, Concession and cannibalisation processes.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
* Prioritise workload to achieve Final Assembly Line (FAL) milestones and production targets.
* Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure on‐time delivery.
* Utilise SAP modules (APD, PEA, PAC, PGI) for planning, execution, and monitoring of operations.
* Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in the aerospace industry.
* Specific experience with A400M aircraft structures and systems is mandatory.
* Experience in managing HNCs, TLBs, FINObs, QSRs, MODs, concession, and cannibalisation processes.
* Excellent command of English and Spanish (both written and spoken), is a must.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations with a proactive attitude.
* Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational team.
