Job DescriptionA vacancy for a Software Engineer has arisen within the Mission System SW. We develop onboard software to manage the different inputs and data from different sensors, weapons, avionics and datalink to provide an enriched tactical picture to the pilots and operators on the helicopter. The selected candidate will be responsible for the detailed design, implementation, verification and configuration of software components to be delivered into the different environments (software development, integration rigs and aircraft). In addition, the candidate will participate in the evolution of the overall software and deployment architecture to adapt the current mission software products to the needs of our new customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will integrate the developed software into specific H/C mission computers along the operating system and drivers provided by the supplier of the equipment. The candidate will be part of an existing and experienced team that will allow him/her to learn and grow in a professional environment. The candidate will find a motivated and cooperative software department where his/her experiences and technical knowledge along with the capacity to understand the different system needs.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include
Write requirements in compliance with quality criteria, avoiding over- and under-specification.
Manage specificities of interface requirements.
Define & justify the requirements allocation to the given system elements taking into account the architectural interfaces and constraints (e.g. requirements constraining system architecture), ensuring traceability.
Manage requirement changes, including impact analysis and requirements baseline establishment.
Verify that the sub‐system, equipment and component's requirements are correctly and completely implemented.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent qualification.
Graduates and young professionals are welcome to apply.
Experience with Container Technologies, e.g., Docker, Proxmox.
Knowledge and experience in the whole Software Development Cycle is required (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Validation & Verification).
Knowledge and experience with Software Verification (unit testing, SW/SW integration testing, SW/HW integration testing, black box testing, non‐regression testing) is beneficial.
Knowledge of C++ and Python.
Installation and administration of Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of the QT/QML graphic library.
Knowledge of network protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, UDP/TCP).
Knowledge of communication buses (A429, RS422, MIL-STD-1553, AFDX).
Knowledge of technologies (Apache Kafka, HDLC).
Knowledge of SW design patterns.
Knowledge of Agile methods (SCRUM, KANBAN).
