Director Technical Due Diligence & Project Oversight (Infra, Industrial & Renewable projects)

Mission:
The Director will lead technical due diligence, project monitoring, and project management services for infrastructure, industrial and renewable projects.
This role will ensure accurate risk assessment, effective project execution, and strategic advisory to clients, enhancing decision-making and project outcomes. The role requires technical expertise, project leadership, and the ability to deliver independent opinions on complex engineering, contractual, and operational matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive technical and environmental assessments of infrastructure, industrial, and renewable energy assets and projects.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and operational risks, providing actionable recommendations to ensure safe, cost-efficient, and compliant project delivery.
Conduct detailed site inspections and prepare reports on asset conditions, performance, and compliance with design and regulatory standards.
Develop Capex plans and cost estimates, supporting investment decisions and long-term asset management strategies.
Prepare feasibility studies for new developments, including budget forecasts, milestone scheduling, and risk assessments.
Monitor project execution across time, budget, cost, and quality metrics, ensuring alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
Prepare detailed project reports (initial, monthly, and final), including progress tracking, cost variance analysis, and contractor performance evaluation.
Lead project management activities, design coordination, permitting, tendering, construction oversight, commissioning, and final delivery.
Provide cost management and control services from early design through project completion, ensuring financial transparency and efficiency.
Deliver independent technical opinions on contracts, claims, and disputes, supporting clients in mediation, conciliation, and arbitration processes.
Engage with clients and stakeholders proactively, presenting technical findings, advising on strategic project decisions, and ensuring long-term value creation.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in civil, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in advisory engineering, project management, or consulting within infrastructure, industrial or renewable projects.
Proven experience leading a department in a large engineering firm or as a partner in a boutique consultancy focused on technical assessment and construction/project supervision. Solid experience in managing design, tendering, and construction processes.
Strong client portfolio and proven track record in business development.
Expertise in overseeing complex infrastructure, industrial, or construction projects, providing technical governance and strategic leadership, project monitoring, feasibility studies, and Capex planning.
Experience in contract analysis, dispute resolution, and independent technical opinions.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, teams, and client relationships effectively.
Fluent in English (C1–C2); additional languages highly valued.
Willingness to travel for site inspections, client meetings, and project oversight.
