This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile Senior Systems Engineer to support #EUSPA, the EU Agency for the Space Programme, in the upcoming #Galileo #GSMC Deployments.
Galileo is Europe's Global Navigation Satellite System (#GNSS), the #EUSpace flagship programme, funded and owned by the EU, providing accurate positioning and timing information worldwide.
CETRA BASE is currently looking for one senior professional with experience in Galileo to join the Galileo Engineering team.
The position is based in Saint Germain en Laye (GSMC France).
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Galileo Deployment activities include:
* Analyse and report on operations return of experience, derive operability and maintainability requirements for System evolutions
* Participate to the system design and development activities (e.g. CDR, QR, SDQR) to ensure proper operability and maintainability of the Systems in development and to prepare its operations and maintenance documentation
* Support the definition, verification and implementation of System operational transitions associated to system evolutions
The non-exhaustive list of taks include:
* Check the working schedule is aligned with the Programme baseline and report in case of discrepancies
* Support, by reviewing the relevant DP and attending the relevant meetings, all the segment and system reviews (CDR, Segment QR, System QR, DRB_EA)
* Prepare the deployment checkpoint activities (minimum 1 month before planned deployment activities)
* Prepare and organize all Operational readiness boards (ORR/OVR, OVRR, Migration)
* Support the Element Key Point (acceptance) activities (once all inputs/DP are available to EUSPA)
* Prepare the minutes of meeting within 2 working days from the conduct of the meeting
* Follow-up all open actions (weekly)
* Track documentation deliveries linked to above deployments
* Consolidate Templates and lessons learnt from previous activities
Essential qualifications and experience
* University degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
* 5+ years of experience in Galileo or other space projects
* Strong team-working skills
* Experience in meeting management
* Experience in reporting activities
* Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
* Eligible for security clearance
* Availability to travel within Europe

In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate must be a citizen of a European Union state.
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract and a highly competitive salary package, according to his/her skills and experience.
