- Ocean Freight is responsible for developing and executing the country's Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL) product strategy.
Ensures competitive pricing, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, strong carrier relationships, and P&L performance.
Drives digital adoption, product competitiveness, and customer satisfaction through coordinated action with Sales, Operations, and Regional Product Teams.
Responsibilities Product Strategy & Market Positioning Build and execute the national Ocean Product roadmap aligned with regional/global product teams.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, regulations, and customer behaviors to identify growth opportunities.
Deploy standardized global/regional solutions (digital tools, product programs) adapted to local needs.
Generate and share consistent market intelligence reports for internal stakeholders.

Operational Execution & Process Optimization Oversee daily FCL/LCL operations ensuring service quality and coordination with carriers, ports, truckers, and customs brokers.
Mitigate operational risks (congestion, equipment imbalance, delays) with proactive contingency plans.
Manage local tariffs and ensure accurate, competitive pricing for spot and non-standard requests.
Deliver product/system training to Sales & Operations in coordination with Regional and Global Product Teams.

Commercial Leadership & P&L Ownership Own the country's Ocean Freight P&L (revenue, margin, cost control).
Lead the country ocean tender process and support Sales in winning strategic customers and new trade opportunities.
Engage directly with key customers when needed to support commercial success.
Drive cost savings through carrier negotiations and strong allocation management.

Stakeholder, Carrier & Compliance Management Maintain and develop relationships with local carriers, NVOs, port authorities, terminals, and key clients.
Conduct QBRs with Carriers to align on performance KPIs and resolve disputes (rollovers, D&D, ETA issues).
Ensure full compliance with customs, sanctions, safety rules, and local regulations.
Act as escalation point for major operational or commercial issues.
Qualifications / Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the ocean freight forwarding industry, with a background in ocean freight operations and procurement role.
Willingness to travel Strong knowledge of global shipping markets, Incoterms, and carrier contracts. xpzdshu
Proficient in data analysis tools and ERP/transportation management systems.
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus Understanding of ESG and sustainability programs in freight
