Join our dynamic Financial Management team at Nokia as a key player in the financial and tax management of the Software Sales Center (SWSC) in Spain. In this pivotal role, you will interact with tax authorities and public organizations in Spain and Latin America, ensuring compliance and smooth operations. You will oversee the management of export licenses, coordinate tax matters, and support recovery processes, all while collaborating closely with Project Managers, Business Controllers, and the Region Accounting and Tax team. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
* Oversee financial and tax management for the Software Sales Center (SWSC) in Spain, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international treaties.
* Coordinate timely renewal and management of export licenses with the Spanish Ministry of Commerce to facilitate seamless software sales.
* Engage with tax authorities across Spain and LATAM to ensure proper application and recovery of withholding tax (WHT), managing any disputes as necessary.
* Support tax audits by preparing necessary documentation, including withholding and tax residency certificates, in compliance with regulations.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including PMs and Business Controllers, to estimate sales, cost of sales (CoS), and margin calculations.
* Calculate and manage royalty payments to Nokia Oy according to the Transfer Pricing model, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
* Monitor and report financial performance metrics, working alongside the Region Accounting and Tax team to recover approximately €1M in WHT annually.
* Lead initiatives to enhance teamwork and communication across departments to optimize financial and tax processes and systems.
Key Skills And Experience
* Extensive knowledge of Spanish and international tax laws, including double tax treaties with LATAM countries.
* Proven experience in financial and tax management, especially in working with export licenses and withholding tax (WHT) processes.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in tax audits and recovery processes.
* Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with public authorities and stakeholders.
It would be nice if you also had:
* Experience in transfer pricing and managing royalties within a multinational environment.
* Familiarity with using public agencies' websites for tax-related processes.
* Background in local accounting practices and statutory financial reporting requirements.
* A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
