IT Support Trainee
The IT Support Trainee provides basic assistance in resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests related to devices, applications, and workplace technologies. This role works under the close supervision of the IT Support team and contributes to the smooth operation of the digital workplace. It is a development-focused position that combines operational tasks with continuous learning and exposure to IT processes, tools, and standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide first-line support to users for basic hardware, software, and digital workplace issues. Assist with initial setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of end-user devices (laptops, mobile phones, peripherals).
* Support onboarding and offboarding activities under guidance from senior support staff.
* Assist in the installation, update, and configuration of corporate applications.
* Log, update, and close tickets in the ITSM tool following established procedures.
* Support inventory tasks such as labeling, tracking, and organizing IT assets.
* Perform routine checks of meeting rooms, AV systems, and collaboration equipment.
* Escalate issues beyond trainee scope following SOPs.
* Document basic troubleshooting steps and contribute to knowledge base improvements.
* Adhere to IT policies, processes, and standards in all assigned tasks.
