The role will report to the Senior Director, HR EMEA Manufacturing and will provide strategic HR support for the BD Fraga manufacturing facility. This position works closely with the Plant Leadership Team, EMEA Plant HR Team and Iberia HR Team to ensure the implementation of human resources and leadership practices, processes, and programs that enhance organizational effectiveness and associate development. As a member of the BD HR team, the role will collaborate on the design, development, introduction, and integration of HR processes, practices, programs, and initiatives that contribute to both individual and company success.
Main Responsibilities
- Translate business needs to HR imperatives, implement comprehensive talent, learning, compensation and engagement solutions to fulfill these needs through ASC, CoE, Country HRBPs.
- Partner with the Fraga Plant Leadership Team (PLT) to ensure effective execution of all primary annual BD Human Resources processes for the business, including Human Resources and Succession Planning, Performance Management and Development Planning, Compensation Planning.
- Identify organizational needs and lead local efforts to ensure effective definition, deployment and training around all business‑specific and BD HR practices, incorporating clear accountability for HR, Leadership Team members, People Managers and other Support Associates.
- Sample practices include Talent Management, Organizational Capability and Capacity Analyses and Planning, Recruitment and Selection, Associate Engagement, Headcount Management, Compensation and Benefits Administration.
- Provide coaching as a member of the Plant Leadership Team in Destination/Vision/Mission and Business Planning, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Organizational Design and Development, Competency Analyses, Staffing and Selection, Training and Development, Leadership Development, Team Development, HR services delivery, Compensation and Benefits planning and administration and Associate Engagement.
- Advise managers on organizational structures, roles & responsibilities, staffing levels, etc.; work with the Plant Manager to design and evaluate effective staffing models; manage change when business needs require modifications to established models.
- Coach managers and supervisors at all levels, providing timely and constructive feedback to help them improve leadership effectiveness.
- Identify retention issues and recommend creative solutions.
- Assist leadership to create work environments and reward systems that keep associates stimulated and the team and organization productive.
- Collaborate closely with HR COEs and ASC to ensure the BD HR Service Delivery model is leveraged at its best onsite, including participation in broader country projects as needed.
- Work closely with AccessHR on recommendations for critical disciplinary action, ensuring consistency with company policies.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to efficiently identify and fill vacancies with high‑caliber associates at competitive wages.
- Take overall responsibility for the Year‑End Compensation Planning process.
- Drive operational excellence through cultural and/or functional transformation on site, in the BU, or at BD level.
- Support the execution of BD Excellence / People Component by acting as an ambassador onsite and for peers on other sites.
- Roll‑out HR BD Excellence Global Program when made available per guidance.
- Assist managers with all aspects of the annual performance management and development process, in partnership with Access HR.
- Work with BD & outside Legal Counsel to ensure all policies and practices are fair and aligned with legal requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company and government requirements, including BD Ethics Policy and local labor legislation.
- Identify training needs for the site and secure resources to conduct or deliver training courses.
- Take responsibility for all local policy development/implementation and for implementing BDX, WW Business Unit, Division procedures as required.
- Analyze complex issues requiring in‑depth knowledge of team dynamics; serve as escalation point for complex issues for the site leadership team.
- Contribute as a member of the EMEA Manufacturing HR LT and Iberia HR LT to deliver roadmaps through the Fraga site and beyond.
- Participate in the development of methodologies, operating practices, work systems, techniques, tools and evaluation criteria for projects, programs and people.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience with solid knowledge of all HR functions as key business levers.
- Generalist experience with specialization in change management, organizational effectiveness/development, recruitment/selection, compensation, employee relations, performance management, HRIS, training/development, policy development and employment law.
- Experience in a large complex matrixed organization and in implementing talent management and people development programs.
- Extensive HR client experience preferred, with project and/or process leadership responsibility and experience supporting a diverse client group.
- Proven experience in restructuring an organization (organizational design).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver project execution to HR solutions.
Location: ESP Huesca – Fraga
Salary Range: EUR 80,000 – EUR 100,000 per year
