As our Controller, your mission is to own and scale our finance operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and automation at every step. You'll report directly to the Co-CEO and play a key role in turning finance into a strategic advantage as we scale internationally.

We're already working with some of the most dynamic companies in Europe and backed by top-tier investors. We're now scaling fast in markets like the UK and DACH, and building the financial backbone to support that growth is critical.
We don't believe in doing things "the way they've always been done." We're building a modern finance stack, and we need a Controller who is tech-forward, embraces automation, and is excited to work in a product-driven environment where finance and innovation go hand in hand.
Core Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Compliance
2. Own the full monthly close process and financial statements.
3. Manage and evolve our ERP (Business Central) to ensure automation, integrity, and scalability.
4. Ensure compliance with tax filings, SII, and regulatory standards (Spanish & international).
5. Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors.
6. Cash Management & Treasury Support
7. Partner closely with our internal treasury team to analyze actual vs forecast.
8. Support in cash positioning, working capital analysis, and payment scheduling.
9. Reconcile actual cash movements with forecasts and investigate variances.
10. Financial Operations
11. Build and optimize end-to-end processes: expense management, Pleo card policies, vendor onboarding, etc.
12. Standardize and document key finance ops processes.
13. Own accounts payable/receivable workflows and approvals.
14. Strategic Scope (Expanded Responsibilities)
15. Internal Reporting & Insights
16. Own monthly internal reporting pack: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and SaaS KPIs.
17. Work closely with our Co-CEO who oversees finance to provide dashboards, insights, and data-driven narratives.
18. Track and communicate budget vs actuals by team and department.
19. Cost Control & Financial Discipline
20. Establish frameworks for budget tracking, cost reviews, and procurement policies.
21. Analyze unit economics, CAC payback, and gross margin trends in collaboration with GTM leaders.
22. Business Partnering
23. Be the go-to person for department heads on all finance topics: budgets, hiring plans, spend approvals.
24. Help translate business strategy into financial execution (and vice versa).
25. Fundraising Support & Investor-Readiness
26. Prepare financial due diligence materials for future funding rounds.
27. Ensure data accuracy and process readiness for investor Q&A, audits, or M&A discussions.
28. Team Building & Leadership
29. Hire, onboard, and manage a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting tasks, reconciliations, and admin-heavy processes.
30. Define and distribute responsibilities to ensure a clear division of tactical and strategic work.
31. Mentor and develop the junior profile to grow with the business and take on more ownership over time.
Ideal Profile
* 4-5 years of experience in fast-growth SaaS or tech startups.
* Strong ERP/finance systems understanding.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and ready to build from scratch.
* Able to switch between high-level strategy and deep hands-on execution.
* Sharp communicator, able to present clearly to CEOs and investors.
* We need passion and energy. You love what you do and are highly motivated to fulfill the ambitious tasks you will be responsible for.
* International experience and additional languages are key to embrace our inclusive culture.
