You will be surrounded by curious and driven people with various backgrounds (e.g. Johannes / Mechanical Engineering, Theodora /Investment Banking, Hernan / Smart Cities & Renewable Energy Technologies, Alina / Sustainability Strategy, Tim / Economics & Corporate Development & Strategy, Daniel / Entrepreneurship). As you can see, we are just missing someone with some background in Chemistry or related.
**WHAT WILL BE YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE BE LIKE?**
- You will be spending your day analyzing tech trends and companies driving disruption across industries.
- Areas you are going to explore will be focused on everything around materials, coatings, chemical processes, battery technologies, recycling, additive manufacturing etc.
- On top of the topics above, we will ensure to provide you with insights in many more technologies - e.g. Electrical engineering, powertrain systems of electric vehicles, Edge Computing, Enterprise Software, Manufacturing Process Engineering, Quantum computing, etc. We are tracking multiple technologies and tech sectors and always need to identify new areas currently not addressed.
- We want you to learn how to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question, adeptly scope the research effort, and expertly use most (but not necessarily all) research techniques.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings between startups and corporate partners. Curate startup lists for corporate partners based on their technology interests.
- Be active in the general tech community through meet-ups, conferences and writing thought leadership pieces. Develop own network of contacts internally and externally to raise personal as well as Plug and Plays visibility
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor's degree in any chemistry/material science-related field required. MBA/advanced degree and relevant experience is a plus
- Be **curious** about business models and venture capital. We emphasize the word “curious”, you don’t need to be “knowledgeable“, we value your STEM background and will teach you the rest
- Excellent English skills are crucial. German would be a plus.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with C-Suite executives
- Experience in/comfortable with a role with a degree of ambiguity, requiring proactive analysis and action
- Highly organized, shown to meet tight deadlines along with consistent accuracy and attention to detail
- Soft Skills_
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, prospects, and industry contacts
- Self-motivated and driven; proven to work independently, prioritize work, and achieve results
- Collaborative, diplomatic, and can cross-functionally partner with stakeholders across multiple offices
- A passion for early-stage venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurship with a good understanding of emerging technologies
