By combining capital, carbon certification, and agronomic expertise, InSoil enables investors and farmers to drive meaningful climate impact and financial returns.Job SummaryThe Project Development Director will lead the full lifecycle development of Improved Agricultural Land Management (IALM) projects under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) standards within the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM). This role involves managing projects from early-stage feasibility to carbon credit issuance and monitoring, including scoping, feasibility studies, documentation, validation, verification, and ensuring compliance with methodologies.The Director will coordinate with data science, agronomy, MMRV, farmer engagement, business development, and marketing teams, and engage externally with validation / verification bodies, consultants, and stakeholders. Success requires strategic foresight, process leadership, and up-to-date knowledge of carbon market regulations and methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Management :
Lead day-to-day development of IALM carbon projects to ensure compliance with VCS and CCB standards. Track progress against timelines, milestones, and KPIs;
proactively adapt roadmaps where necessary.Documentation & Compliance :
Oversee preparation of project documentation such as Project Descriptions (PDs), Monitoring Reports (MRs), and supporting materials. Ensure full adherence to VCS methodologies, CCB criteria, and maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation and records.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Manage and align collaboration across data science, agronomy, farmer engagement, MMRV, and business development teams. Facilitate recurring internal check-ins and milestone meetings with stakeholders.J-18808-Ljbffr
