We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Madrid Spain. As a key member of our cloud security team you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining robust security measures for our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security strategies to protect our GCP environment
- Configure and manage GCP security services and tools to ensure optimal protection
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of our cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement identity and access management (IAM) policies
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies procedures and guidelines
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
- Respond to and investigate security incidents performing root cause analysis
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud security trends threats and mitigation techniques
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field
- 5 years of experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on Google Cloud Platform
- In-depth knowledge of GCP security services tools and best practices
- Strong understanding of network security encryption technologies and IAM
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
- Scripting skills in languages such as Python and Bash
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCI DSS)
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification (preferred)
- Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP CCSP CompTIA Security) are a plus
- Expertise in cloud security architecture threat modeling and risk assessment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work versátil hours as needed for incident response
